Activities to play with your child:

1.  Place the doughnut toppers face down, and lay them in a line to form a simple pattern.  Ask the child to duplicate your pattern.  Add more doughnut toppers to your pattern to increase the challenge

2.  Ask the child to prepare doughnuts to order.  For example, request a raspberry filled doughnut with chocolate icing and colourful sprinkles

3.  Ask the child to prepare several doughnuts with toppers.  Ask the chld to study the doughnuts, then to close his/her eyes.  While the child's eyes are closed, remove and conceal one of the doughnuts.  Explain that you removed one doughnut, then ask the child to describe the missing doughnut

4.  Lay all of the doughnut toppers on a table, face up.  Ask the child to identify the colours on each doughnut topper.  Ask the child to group doughnuts with the exact same colours into separate piles

5.  Ask the child to tell a story about the use of the doughnuts they are decorating.  Is there a special party, holiday or event where they will be served?
