Melissa & Doug Wooden Farm Train is an 8 piece wooden vehicle set that is ready to haul cows, horses and more.

The Farm Animal Train set features three train carriages that are made of solid wood.  Each piece is hand-painted and of durable, excellent quality.

The wooden train and its carriages all have rolling wheels, and are compatible with standard wooden railway sets.

Activities to play with your child:

1.  Ask the child to push the train along a path while an adult asks questions.  For example, one might ask, "What sounds does the train make?  What sound does the cow make?  Where is the train going?"

2.  Count the milk containers, produce crates and train cars.  Build a tower with the produce crates, counting aloud.

3.  Ask the child to find cargo that is painted black, white and pink (cow), and load it into the blue car.  Ask the child to point to a black part on the cow.  Continue in this manner.

4.  Ask the child to push the train in shape-related paths; straight lines, wavy lines, circles, etc

5.  Ask the child to assemble the train according to colour clues.  For example, "Please connect the red and blue engine to the green car".  Or, "The next car on the train should be the colour of a lemon".

6.  Ask the child to hook up and load the train for a special journey and talk about it.  Perhaps the train is going to a state fair where the cow will win a first place ribbon and people will buy the fresh milk, fruit and vegetables.  Be creative and have fun!
